What vaccinations are necessary?

For the health and safety of all our guests, proof of immunization is required for rabies, Bordetella, distemper, and canine influenza.

Do you require reservations?

To maintain our facility as one of the safest in the area, it’s essential that we have the right level of staffing to accommodate the number of dogs each day. For this reason, we require reservations for all of our services.

Can I tour the resort?

We’d be delighted to show you our pet resort! Feel free to stop by during our operating hours for a guided tour.

Should I bring my dog’s food?

To ensure your pet maintains their usual diet, we recommend bringing their own food, appropriately bagged and labeled in individual servings. We also offer Iams Minichunks for a small additional fee. Please note that a special food preparation charge may apply for any specific food preparation requests.

What about bedding?

A cozy raised bed is available for your pet’s comfort, so we kindly request that you leave their bedding at home.

I have multiple dogs, can they stay together?

Our suites are designed to provide ample space for most doggie siblings to relax together; however, exceptionally large pets or those with specific feeding and medication needs may require individual accommodations. Please reach out to us to explore how we can best support your furry family.

Can you accommodate special needs pets?

At Happy Tails Pet Resort, we understand that every pet has unique needs, and we’re here to help your furry friend feel right at home. Give us a call to learn how we can tailor our services to meet your pet’s special requirements.

My pet takes medication. Can you administer medication?

We understand how important your pet’s health and well-being is, and we’re here to help by administering various oral and topical medications for a small fee. Please bring all medications in their original containers along with clear instructions, as this ensures we can provide the best care possible. Additionally, we offer a compassionate TLC Package specifically designed for our older and special needs pets, which includes unlimited medication administration to give you peace of mind while your furry family member is with us.

About Annapolis, MD

Annapolis is the capital of the state of Maryland. It is the county seat of Anne Arundel County and its only incorporated city. Situated on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River, 25 miles south of Baltimore and about 30 miles east of Washington, D.C., Annapolis forms part of the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area. The 2020 census recorded its population as 40,812, an increase of 6.3% since 2010.

17th-century Annapolis was little more than a village, but it grew rapidly for most of the 18th century until the American Revolutionary War as a political and administrative capital, a port of entry, and a major center of the Atlantic slave trade. However, this growth declined rapidly after Baltimore, with its deeper harbor, was designated as a port of entry in 1780. Water trades such as oyster-packing, boatbuilding, and sailmaking became the city’s chief industries.

It served as the seat of the Confederation Congress, formerly the Second Continental Congress, and the temporary national capital of the United States from 1783 to 1784. At that time, General George Washington came before the body convened in the new Maryland State House and resigned his commission as commander of the Continental Army. A month later, the Congress ratified the Treaty of Paris of 1783, ending the American Revolutionary War, with Great Britain recognizing the independence of the United States.

The Maryland State House is the oldest continuously used legislative building in the United States. Construction started in 1772, and the Maryland legislature first met there in 1779. It is topped by the largest wooden dome built without nails in the country. The United States Naval Academy was founded in 1845 on the site of Fort Severn and now occupies an area of land reclaimed from the Severn River.
